Researching Eighteenth and Early Nineteenth Century England

Since 1998, The Regency Library has provided primary and secondary research materials to writers, students, and anyone who has an interest in this time period. In the past these materials were distributed via e-mail lists. Now they will be available here. The materials include articles from Newspapers, Periodicals, and Diaries published or written between 1750 and 1830. The topics will include:

• Interesting Court Cases

• Crime

• Entertainment

• Fashion (with Fashion plates and detailed descriptions from the leading lady’s magazines)

• Food

• Furniture & House Decor (including plates of different style Houses and Cottages, with Floor Plans.

• Biographical Sketches

And just about anything which has to do with the social history of this time period.
